My First Post!

Alright, Mom, you win. I will continuously update you on all things decor in my place. From taking my first baby steps at Round Top to hitting up Goodwill twice a week with a white paint brush in mind. Maybe as this blog progresses, you will be taking ideas from me! Alright, alright, I pretty much owe it all to you. I admit it.

Take a look of what I'm working on:

To Paint or not to paint, that is the question, and what color should this desk be!
I'm digging this chest so much. Goodwill has been raising their prices, but i splurged. $16.
I am contemplating this area a lot lately. It is missing something. Oh, and my guitar is in the way.
I'm so stoked to finally get all my pottery barn bathroom set up. Even more excited that I got it labor day weekend so it was a sin it was so cheap! And, of course, the containers are from goodwill. Mhmmm, so nice to have a shelf finally.

FINALLY got to hang my obscurely sized Italy print my Mom got me. I got the frame from goodwill and you can't tell here, but I antiqued it with some light sandpaper. You have no idea how many frames I had to measure until I finally found one that worked.

Work in progress is all i have to say. Love the basket there. The green thing over the couch is an awesome 2ftX2ft pottery barn pillow case I got for 5 bucks. Woo, cant wait to fill it. Of course my wonderful William Sonoma rug I got for $17 (you should really befriend your pottery barn employees). This is one of the things that really gets my giddy. And then i have these new sage green square boxes I put near the front door. Mom, you may recognize those candles in them. I would really rather not talk about the couch. Yes, comfortable, but it totally throws off the awesome vibes of this room. BLEH

On to the Outside!!

Oh how I love my new aloe vera plant! I just need some more soil in the pot! haha and how cute is my new $2 watering can. love it!

I love the bohemian feeling of this hanging pot. And pansies are so cute. My house is begging for a power washer to come visit (hint hint). Also, I'm on the lookout for a piece of stained glass where that chain is hanging to the right of the hanging basket.

Thats all for now!
LOVE!

  1. Sarah! What a wonderful blog! It seems you're being very resourceful with furnishing your "pad". Very sick! (that's a good thing)

  2. Sarah...your first pad is great! It is so YOU. It was such a pleasure to drive down for the weekend and experience San Marcus through your eyes. Your pad...your friends...San Marcus...what a great weekend! Little Ellie seems to be doing just fine as long as she is somewhere near you. I understand why you love your life. It was so interesting to have lunch with a few of your friends who actually know how to think. They take the time to research information that actually causes them to think, form an opinion and express it with such assurance of what they believe. Nice to have these types of conversations with those who know what is going on. You, my dear, are in good company. I am very happy for you and Ellie and look forward to our next visit. Keep on Keepin' on!
